Documentary Panel
DECEMBER 9th, 2008
"The Reality of Documentary Filmmaking"
Documentaries have become increasingly popular, but making them can still be incredibly difficult. This panel on documentary filmmaking will cover how to get your film out of your head to how to get it out to the world, including funding sources, festival strategy, web 2.0 distribution, and common mistakes to avoid.
Moderated by NU Alum Tamara Krinsky who works with the International Documentary Association, panelists to include Kristin Feeley, Manager of the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program, Sarah Evershed from Current TV, and Ed Cunningham producer of award-winning documentaries “New York Doll” and “The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.”
