	Events Documentary Panel DECEMBER 9th, 2008 "The Reality of Documentary Filmmaking" Documentaries have become increasingly popular, but making them can still be incredibly difficult. This panel on documentary filmmaking will cover how to get your film out of your head to how to get it out to the world, including funding sources, festival strategy, web 2.0 distribution, and common mistakes to avoid. Moderated by NU Alum Tamara Krinsky who works with the International Documentary Association, panelists to include Kristin Feeley, Manager of the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program, Sarah Evershed from Current TV, and Ed Cunningham producer of award-winning documentaries “New York Doll” and “The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.” read more				Programs NUEA Programs for Writers The NUEA has two programs for writers that meet monthly. If you are writing television pilots and/or specs, the Comedy Writers Room is for you! Co-hosted with Columbia College, the group meets approximately once a month and functions like a real writers room to help aspiring television writers to break stories. read more contact co-chair If you are writing features, shorts, television, the NUEA Writers Group meets monthly to read and give feedback on two scripts from writers in the group.
